Indian-born Sujoy Banerjee brings a world of experience in Management and Human Resources practices to ICHM, and says he loves the time he spends with students facilitating his practitioner’s experience.
‘My teaching philosophy is to share my experience and knowledge with workplace leaders of the future, with the objective of helping transform, empower and lead the next generation.’
He has worked with large multinational corporations in global leadership roles in the United States, United Kingdom and South-East Asia.
At global management consulting company Accenture, he rose to the ranks of General Manager, one of a team overseeing the performance management of 200,000 employees. Before that he was with multinational banking and financial services company Standard Chartered Bank, as Senior Manager Human Resources.
During his two-decade career he has been involved in the entire chain of Human Resources functions, including talent engagement, performance management, training and development, Human Resources operations and customer relationship management. He has also led organisations through transformation and change management initiatives, preparing the business case to support business process reengineering.
He joins ICHM from the University of South Australia’s School of Management, where he undertook courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. He holds a Master’s degree in Science, a Postgraduate Certificate in Human Resource Management and a Certificate 1V in Human Resources (Australian Human Resources Institute).
In his spare time, he runs (along with his wife and daughter) an Indian dance studio, recently commissioned to perform at the OzAsia Festival.
