Learning Support Officer

Seen here at the Course Commencement Ceremony, Siobhan Lavender is not only a first-rate educator, but also a talented musician on piano, violin and harp.

She is based at Regency International House and available to students 9 am–1 pm Mondays and Wednesdays and Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, providing direct support and access to students ‘in their own back yard’.

For the remainder of the week, she is at Eynesbury/NAVITAS, teaching English for Academic Purposes to overseas students wishing to study a range of courses at universities in Adelaide, both undergraduate and postgraduate.

Siobhan has held education and corporate roles in her home country Ireland, and the United States and Australia.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons), majoring in English, French and Music; a Bachelor of Music; and a Graduate Diploma in Education from University College Dublin.

She holds a Certificate 1V in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) and Training and Assessment from Adelaide College of TAFE.  

In her role she will providing systematic learning support to ICHM students by developing skills programs via small groups, face to face or online consultation.
