Crowne Plaza Adelaide - an InterContinental Hotel Group (IHG) property - is opening inside Frome Central Tower One which, when completed, will be the city’s tallest building.
It is expected to open in the first half of 2020.
In addition to Teah Pantano, members of the pre-opening team on campus at ICHM on 25 February included ICHM graduate Laura Ganter, Human Resources and Business Support Administrator; Sunil Choudhary, Operations Manager; Lucy Blanch, Food & Beverage Manager; and Stephen O’Leary, Front Office Manager.
Teah Pantano has been with IHG since 2010 starting out in Front Office before moving into Human Resources in 2011. She has spent the past eight years in Human Resources positions across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
‘I am thrilled to be working with the team on the pre-opening of Crowne Plaza Adelaide’, she says.
Teah moved to Adelaide in 2019, initially on contract to support InterContinental Adelaide as Human Resources Leader, before transitioning to Crowne Plaza Adelaide in September.
ICHM alumni Laura Ganter, who graduated six years ago, moved across to the Crowne Plaza after working as Conference and Events Duty Manager at Intercontinental Adelaide for the past 20 months.
The team spoke in glowing terms about the property and their excitement at being involved in the pre-opening, and the opportunity to create something from scratch and bring a construction site to life.
The mixed-use development will have retail space, 83-room residential apartments and the 326-room Crowne Plaza, which will feature an infinity pool, a bar and restaurant, a gym and 600sqm of meeting and conference space.
Check-in is on the 10th floor.
