Students Name ICHM Australia’s Top Hotel School
The Adelaide based International College of Hotel Management (ICHM) has been named the best hotel and hospitality school in Australia for the quality of its student experience according to the leading national Student Experience Survey (SES).
In the five core focus areas, ICHM outperformed every other hotel school in Australia. ICHM also exceeded all other hotel schools when it came to the quality of the entire educational experience.
- For Teaching Quality, ICHM scored 86.1 and ranked 20th across the sector, with only two universities better performers. For Student Support ICHM scored 85.5, with again only two universities ranked more highly.
- The SES is conducted each year by the Social Research Centre and uploaded to the Quality Indicators for Learning and Teaching (QILT) website. It is the only comprehensive survey of current higher education students in Australia and managed by the Australian Government.
- All 41 Australian universities and 66 Non-University Higher Education Institutions (NUHEIs) participated in the 2018 national survey.
- Around 194,000 undergraduate students and 89,000 postgraduate coursework students from Australian universities and non-university higher education institutions (NUHEIs) participated in the 2018 survey.
ICHM has been operating for more than 25 years. We are the only Swiss Hotel Association (SHA) affiliated school in Australia and are now owned by Charles Darwin University. Our graduates work around Australia and the world in a variety of hotel, hospitality and business related enterprises.
