ICHM is one of the top hotel management schools in Australia and among the top five in the world. Since start-up in 1993, more than 2500 students have passed through its doors to become work-ready young professionals who hit the ground running and go on to establish national and international careers.
In his opening remarks Master of Ceremonies Derek Milligan pointed out that Principal Dr Ian Whyte introduced Course Commencement in 1993, and it has subsequently become a popular fixture in ICHM’s calendar.
As most readers would be aware, in 1992 our family created ICHM in partnership with the South Australian Government and Swiss Hotel Association. Today, it is one of the best hotel schools in Australia and among the top five in the world.

Charles Darwin University has acquired ICHM from the founding Lipman family.
Chief Executive Gerald Lipman said he was delighted with the development.
ICHM will continue to function as usual and all existing staff will remain, including Mr Lipman, who will continue in his role as Chief Executive. CDU will have representation on ICHM’s College Council and Academic Board.
