Claude Meier has recently been appointed Chief Executive of the Swiss Hotel Association (SHA).

ICHM is the first SHA campus outside Switzerland.

Claude Meier takes over management of the Swiss Hotel Association from Dr Christoph Juen on 1 July 2016.

Claude Meier EMBA has many years’ management experience at operational and strategic levels. Most recently, he was head of the Central Secretariat and Head of Commercial Education Association Switzerland.

The 38-year-old says he is excited to help shape structural change in the industry, along with a dedicated team.

‘I will be able to accompany and support the 3000 SHA members in these challenging times’, he says.

President Andreas Züllig says the position of director attracted around 100 potential candidates.

‘In Claude Meier we have found a dynamic young, but experienced person who we consider ideal for this demanding leadership role’, he says.

The SHA is the industry body for the Swiss hotel industry and represents approximately two thirds of Swiss hotel beds and generates almost three quarters of all overnight stays.
