Recognition of Prior Learning (Credit Transfer)

If you have studied the same or equivalent subjects as those taught by ICHM, you can apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (credit) for those subjects. This can shorten your course or reduce your study load. To speed the process, ICHM already has articulation and recognition arrangements in place with many hotel schools and polytechnics around the world. ICHM recognises language skills and industry experience. This policy is most commonly applied to:

• Students who have undertaken some study at other hotel schools looking to transfer.
• Students having completed a diploma or advanced hotel diploma, looking to upgrade their skills, knowledge and gain advantage of the SHA Diploma and/or ICHM Bachelor Degree.
• Industry personnel with experience, but no formal training, who wish to progress their career to management.
• Industry personnel with experience and some training seeking qualifications with international recognition.
• People with business
• related diplomas or degrees wanting to enter the hotel industry to change their career direction.
