Eynesbury College will assist students in organising accommodation. Homestay is recommended for students under 18 years and for those studying English.

ICHM’s on-campus accommodation, Regency International House can house 180 students, thereafter rental accommodation. All year 1 students and new students in years 2, 3 & 4 will be given priority at RIH. ICHM’s Student Welfare Manager assists students to find suitable off-campus accommodation.
As members of the host family, students are introduced to Australian culture and maximise their use of English and develop language skills more quickly. Homestay provides a safe and secure environment, the opportunity for outings with the family and support and assistance from family members. Most homestay families are located within 20 minutes travelling by public transport from the CBD.
Homestay families are carefully selected and regular contact with families is maintained in order to provide support and counselling for the student.
A comprehensive booklet containing information on orientation and accommodation is provided to students on arrival to help prepare them for living with an Australian family. Host families receive advice and guidance on how best to acknowledge and nurture cultural differences and successfully integrate the student.
Students are provided with their own bedroom with desk, chair, bed (including bed linen and blankets) and wardrobe. Students should discuss with the family the usage of telephone and share recreation facilities such as television, swimming pool or tennis court. Laundry arrangements are also negotiable.

The International Student Residence at Fullarton is 10 minutes by bus from Adelaide CBD. If the complex is full, alternative arrangements will be made at other student residences with similar facilities.
Students are required to sign a lease for one semester during term time. During December - February holidays, shorter stays can be arranged. Short term students are accom-modated as vacancies occur, with students staying for one term or more having priority.
Rooms are fully furnished - desk, chair, bed and wardrobe. Sheets, blankets, pillows and pillow cases) are supplied and laundered weekly by a bed linen service. Males and females have completely separate bathrooms.

Note: A security bond must be paid in advance to secure a room. The bond is refundable when the student leaves the Residence, provided there have been no unexpected or additional expenses incurred.
Students under 18 must either use home stay or full board. The Eynesbury International Student Residence provides a caring environment with a mature and experienced husband and wife team who live on the premises.
They are available during the day in a supervisory and care-giving capacity and after hours for emergencies. Breakfast and dinner are provided Monday to Friday. On weekends students organise their own meals (cooking or take away).

Part-board students are responsible for all of their own meals and have access to the fully - equipped communal kitchens.

Students can rent an apartment or house on their own or share with other Australian or International students. Note rental properties cannot be arranged prior to arrival in Adelaide, as the student will normally have to sign the lease. Minimum lease is 6 months, but 12-month leases are more common. Please be aware of the obligations regarding length of stay in the lease or contract.
A contract is legally binding once it has been signed and default of the conditions will incur penalties which could include legal action and/or loss of bond and fines. Students also need to be aware that the additional costs of renting include Security Bond (usually between 4 - 6 weeks rent) and connection fees for electricity, gas and telephone.
